Well now, let's see what's happening with everyone...

Vehlah'Ra/Kartacian Ties

Man is that Prince Stuart a real handful!! I think the Andomina Imari is about to go out of her mind... figuratively and literally! But it's all good. It would appear the tensions between these two mysterious worlds are only increasing and while Imari seems to want to keep things in perspective, I have to wonder to what end? The questions still remain: Who are these Kartacians really? Where did they come from and how in Ahl's name did they get their hands on weapons of such power?!! Me thinks Imari has much to consider here.

As it stands, the Kartacian Prince is in a stand off with the Colonial Security Captain, the Caledite Kalen, on his home planet of Talon; or Talen with the proper accent. We learn some interesting things in this exchange between the two men, three if you want to count the Colonial viper pilot, Alvis, who was sent to stop Kalen from landing on Talon. Why not allow Kalen to land on Talon? There's a mystery here folks, one begging to be solved.

What is it that we learn you ask? For starters, we learn that somehow Kartacia is responsible for whatever heartache it was that befell Kalen's home world of Caledon. Stuart deftly reminds Kalen to stow his hostilities toward Kartacia and that, "The race is `Kartacian'. Kartens died with Kobol, remember that!" Ooh, really, wonder what happened here, huh? Nothing like juicy gossip on the new 'allies'!

And poor Alvis! A simple Colonial human among two creatures who, without laying a hand on one another, have somehow managed to beat the crap outta each other! Too funny. Hey, Alvis, maybe if you click your heels together three times the esteemed Wizard of Talon might send you home. What’s that? Red, sparkly shoes? Who knew! ;)

Guess we wait and see now how the Prince of Kartacia handles the Andomina's request for the return of both Alvis and Kalen. After all, Stuart has his hands full as it is dealing with a much larger threat at the moment. He was just given word that a Kartacian battleship liken to the Death Star has mysteriously come out of retirement to attack everyone's senses. And onboard the Harrow, being kept by Stuart’s arch enemy, Draxx, are some figures of notoriety... namely Stuart's love, Alycia, his best friend, Hans - who happens to be the Prince of Kartacia’s protectorate world, Dornia - and two Vehlah'Rans whose return is a political and moral necessity.

Oh that evil Emperor Draxx... I suppose it doesn’t hurt to remind you all here that Draxx is now in league with the Chrysalis Avren.- who we know is always up to no good... razzum frazzum... ah bloody hell! Let’s just say if something isn’t done to correct this little mess, Vehlah’Ra and Kartacia will be snuggling up with each other alright - on the proverbial battle field... Oh joy!

The Good Guys

Okay, I promised not to laugh here... but some things just can't be helped! From the top:

Athena is trying to work with the Harbinger crew to reach Cerina and Alerick before something else goes wrong... all the while no matter what seems to come out of Athena’s mouth, someone from that camp is there to take her remark the wrong way! Really this comes as no surprise since I’ve had the honor of seeing how Athena actually works. Diplomacy isn’t in her vocab. This Seraph prefers to make her statements with a bit of force and it’s really funny to see her work alongside a crew that demands she wear kid gloves! Piece of advice here, Athena, just keep your foot in your mouth unless you like the exercise! I’m just dying to know too if Gerard grants Athena permission to tinker around with his beloved freighter. (No worries here, Gerard, Athena is ace when it comes to tweaking... just think “Tim the Toolman Taylor”!)

Meanwhile, Alerick is still on Kholos and was in the process of enjoying himself for the first time in, oh how long has it been, Alerick... that long huh... before an image of Cerina ruined all his fun. That evil wench! And what twisted logic of Alerick’s demands he go after her I just have to ask?! After all that’s happened to Alerick no thanks to Cerina you’d think the lad would grow a brain and leave well enough alone! Guess that kiss in the airlock did wonders! Poor guy has no idea what awaits him.

After Alerick is reduced to a puddle of mush on the dance floor from his telepathic confabulation with the flighty Cerina, he somehow manages to convince the three women looking after him to help him get to her. Now, from this reader’s pov, Alerick must have been his charming self to get them to agree to his wildly ridiculous plans of rescue since one of the women suggest the use of a light racer so that he might reach Cerina faster. Isn’t that kinda like foregoing one’s last meal and running to the electric chair? But, it would appear, Alerick’s infamous luck holds true to course and no sooner is he ready to take flight than is he arrested by Kholosian security. Poor guy is hauled away for extradition to Vehlah’Ra... all at Athena’s request. This arrest supposedly orchestrated as part of the Seraph’s plans to get at Cerina. LOL.... oh this is rich! Ali, Ali... when will you learn!

Okay, so we have Athena and Gerard rushing to Alerick and Cerina’s last known location and that in itself might prove a good thing. However, and this is a big however, taking a closer look at the backup crew, I can only laugh harder! Denna is Alerick’s psychologist and about as nutty as they come! Currently she’s onboard the Harbinger with Athena and Gerard headed for PC-5, all in the hopes of reaching Alerick and keeping him stable throughout what is to come. We see some interaction between Denna and Gerard here, and folks, it ain’t lookin’ good. I quickly came to realize that with reinforcements like those two who needs bad guys?! Ohh but that crew is one messed up bunch. Gerard just simply has a way with interpreting things though, so I warn you now, if you take him at his word, you do so at your own risk. As for Denna, well, she should be in the straightjacket not sizing it for Alerick!

The Bad Guys

Heh. You know, despite the fact that they are the bad guys, you gotta give them credit!! They have it together. I mean, despite the height of Cerina’s hate for Avren, you simply have got to give the two of them credit. Not only do they put their differences aside to function together for the common goal of not landing on Vehrik’s shit list, but while they are playing real nice-nice with each other, they are still endeavouring to screw each other over! C’mon now, ya gotta admire that!

Avren has just left the Harrow for his own vessel and it’s clear the man has plans. He has his posse in tow now which will make it harder for anyone to get to him though still, it remains to be seen just how much help little Malis is! Malis as it turns out is a Chrysalis as well only, to put it kindly, not as evolved as Avren is. Which only means Malis has something Avren wants - that being the creature’s ability to heal others completely - something Avren would be remiss to toss out with Cerina skulking in the wings! So far Avren’s agenda is a bit cloudy but that seems intentional on his part. Avren doesn’t like sharing. Guess we’ll see what he’s got planned once he feels like letting us in some.

As for Cerina, she’s still onboard the Horizon at PC-5 trying to get Jaquita to Neffrus. And how does that little sprite pay her back for such kindness? Well, as the ship is plunging to the surface, and the crew to their apparent deaths, Jaquita takes a moment to flip out totally, her personality splitting in two. When Cerina tried to redirect Jaquita to safety, the little Hellcat shoots at Cerina then escapes all by her lonesome in a tiny two seater vessel. To say Cerina is less than pleased with this turn of events is an understatement! I can’t wait to see what the dark Seraph will do to correct this little ‘lapse’ in judgement on her friend’s part. Oh poor, Jaquita. I wonder if playing Princess Leia to Neffrus, as Chris so fondly put it, wouldn’t have been the better call here!

K, that’s all I have for now. I’ll update some more as the facts come in.

TSC:RW Gaming Arena Summary To Date

Let's see if we can't help you out here...

First thing; thanks to our newest member for the time flow chart! That was one of those things that was 'going to get done eventually' just as a terminology chart both for the Colonials and for the other cultures. But time, as always, has a way of slipping from you. So, that being said, your flow chart is simply wonderful for more reasons than one! :-) And yes, we'll use it and place it for now in the 'files' section of the RW group site. The main TSC compendium site will eventually house the same information under a Colonial banner but that will happen once the data gets entered. And as for the time unit errors, we're aware of most of them but as wonderful as yahoo groups is in their free functionality, they still don't offer an edit for already posted material. Once it's on the message board, that's it. Can't change it. It means we grin and bear the errors being ever mindful of them the next time around, (huh, I think there's an oxymoron in there somewhere ;-} ).

Second thing; K, ignore the typos and meandering way this came out. I was tired and not in the best of moods when I put it together. I just hope it helps instead of confusing you more, (I'm famous for doing that to people!). Perhaps if you caught the gist of the major events you might grasp the little plot and character building posts that happen along the way. With that said, here we go...

Heads'n'Tails

The story opens with several individuals going about their daily lives within each of the Colonial and Vehlah'Ran regions.

First scene introduces the Vehlah'Ran Custodian Rya Torrin and her son, the Vehlah'Ran Regent Ishran Torrin. Ishran is a Chrysalis, a scion of the cloned Non Vehrik (equivalent to what humans know as a god). Given the events surrounding Rya's impregnation roughly 20 standard years ago, all of Vehlah'Ra knows what he is. The clone Non's genetics are also present in Rya's youngest sibling, Jade Torrin, causing most of the Vehlah'Ran population to be wary not only of her but of Ishran and his allegiance to them.

In this instance, Ishran was the by-product of a union between Rya, a high level adept, and the clone Non Vehrik producing a highly evolved form of being called a Chrysalis. Chrysalis are used in Vehrik's agenda mostly for breeding purposes, the goal being to force the most evolved of the mortal species forward quicker. Vehrik wishes to produce a perfect breed of warrior for the larger battle ahead by utilizing gene manipulation techniques.

NOTE: Vehrik was created in every way as Zorlus' equal with one exception, the clone Non cannot create life from the nothing, from the Ever. That power was denied it by the Non Originator to prevent Vehrik from doing this exact thing. Vehrik's goals are disgustingly simple, which I'll leave for you to figure out if you haven't done so already, and time, as always it seems, is on it's side as are a few of it's more powerful 'underlings'.

Now as far as Rya and Ishran go, Rya loves her son and believes he is the one who will bring peace at the end of the dark age that has befallen them. It was passed on in prophecy that Rya would never see the Andominaen but that her son would. And so far the prophecy has come to pass. All Chrysalis 'mothers' - depending on the species and as in the case of the Vehlah'Rans, some 'fathers' - succumb to the birthing of a Chrysalis either right on the delivery table or, in rare cases, it may take them several years to die. The death is slow and lingering as depicted in Rya's case. Therefore, even though Rya is Custodian which gives her rights to the Andominaen, Vehlah'Ra's highest seat of power, she is too ill to go on and therefore she must remove herself from the governing body. Her abdication as it were leaves the Custodial seat empty and so a replacement must be found.

Other Houses will seek to take the Custodial seat, a place the Torrin's have nurtured for millennia. Prior to her hospitalization, Rya named Ishran as combatant for the Torrin House which means he was trained in all the adept (or metaphysical) ways and will now have to go up against the other Houses for the position... should he wish to secure it. The Seran House is the favorite to win this time. The matriarch of the Seran House is an embittered woman named Do'ar. She lost her first daughter to the cloned Non Vehrik when the daughter was chosen by Cira Torrin, Rya's grandmother (eldermother), to flee to Peridonn with Jade Torrin's twin sister, Alesira. Ever since having learned of her daughter's brutal death at the Non's hands, and given how the Andominaen at the time when Cira was ruler, betrayed the people by keeping certain facts from them, Do'ar has trained Hia'a, her youngest and only surviving daughter, for a battle against the Torrins that promises to be eventful. In fact, all of Vehlah'Ra, not to mention the AFP, is watching this political row.

Now, while Rya and her son Ishran are called to an emergency meeting by Third Class General Baidge Raylyn (deceased, killed by the Colonial Gemon Alerick - explained later) who is on border patrol duty under the Andomina Imari's command, it is learned the Cylons are on the move and the peace treaty is nothing but a lure to lead the Colonial military mobile contingent away from the homeworlds leaving them defenceless.

Preventing the Vehlah'Rans from rendering any military foreign aid are several Rahspith spheres all of which are lining the Colonial/Vehlah'Ran border. The Vehlah'Rans have only run into the Rahspith once before when the succubus species nearly laid to waste the Vehlah'Ran domain under the clone Non Vehrik's orders; the object having been to test it's Chrysalis, Jade, and nothing more. Vehlah'Ra won a victory but the cost in lives set them back generations, they losing just over 1/3 of their military personnel.

The Rahpsith are creatures from the First Continuum of Time or First Universe and they are in direct opposition to Peridonn (a species who reside within the Veil, a transient realm) and other races like them, such as the Kartacians (mortal realm), Kobollians (the Veil) and of course the Vehlah'Rans (mortal realm). The Vehlah'Rans have no way to defeat the Rahspith and yet despite that fact, the decision was made to make the attempt to reach the Colonials. The consensus by the Regents at the outset of Cylon movement was that if they just kept their nose outta the Colonial/Cylon affair, they'd be spared, that the Rahspith wouldn't attack - this according to the Seraph Athena who has had extensive experience with the succubi. However, the last mortal remnants of the Kobollian bloodline could not be allowed to die. Endangered species had more protective rights it seemed! The question though, that remains unanswered even now, is why did the Kobollians forsake their children? Who was really to blame for the fall of the Colonies? The Colonists themselves? The cloned Non Vehrik, who as it turns out was pulling Iblis' (aka Diabolis, Iblis' Poison name) strings, or the very creatures, the Kobollians, who left the Colonists to fend for themselves?

As the Vehlah'Rans watch the Cylon progression and as they make their attempt to cross the border through the Rahspith blockade, life for the unsuspecting Colonists is unfolding naturally. Around the planet Gemon is a docking facility housing the freighter Harbinger. Harbinger belongs to the Colonial Gemon Alerick, former viper pilot aboard the Battlestar Pegasus. Alerick was given a medical discharge and remitted to a mental institute for battle fatigue. While there, Alerick kept in contact with Jaquita, an Aquarian scientist who had at one time as well been stationed in the Fifth Fleet prior to its destruction. Jaquita had by this time befriended a pirate woman by the name of Aurora (who owns the Emerald) and together the two of them help Alerick prepare Harbinger for the worst.

After Alerick's medical discharge, he begins work on the Harbinger and this work continues as he prepares her for a massacre he is sure will take place despite everyone's skepticism. The information Alerick received from the Mech-Lord, Hathor Baal, during his incarceration at the deranged cyborg's hands had been succinct. He hires himself a crew and it is during the loading of the Harbinger on the eve of the armistice that the Cylons attack. Alerick and his crew are forced to flee Gemon with several shuttle fulls of Gemon women and children, all of whom were placed in stasis for the long trip into Vehlah'Ran space and hopefully safety.

The Cylons attack, the Colonial defenses going down just as planned by Baltar and his 'silent partner', Avren, Alerick's brother. It is learned by the Vehlah'Rans that Sire Avren is one of Vehrik's Chrysalis, just like Ishran and Jade, and once more the question on the Vehlah'Ran side erupts, why were the Colonies really destroyed? Was this another training opportunity for one of Vehrik's vile scion just as it had been for Jade? Or was something more sinister at work as well? Baltar's connections ran deep after all, and he and Avren had many a bureaucrat, those like Sire Rentoq, in their pockets.

Complicating matters here, just when the Vehlah'Ran militia was preparing to shift to the Colonial border, a never before encountered race suddenly appears directly in their jump path. This race, these Kartacians, show up on the Vehlah'Ran doorstep and seemingly unintentionally derail the Vehlah'Ran military initiative for precious hours. The Vehlah'Rans meet the Kartacian Crowned Prince Stuart just as the Cylons are attacking the Colonies. It is thought by the Andominaen that the Kartacians house certain weapons from the First Continuum of Time given what they witness from them during the following battle for the Colonies. Tentative ties are formed with the Karticians who aid the Vehlah'Rans against the Rahspith on the border.

During this fight to secure a viable escape corridor for Colonial ships making it into space, a Colonial research vessel returns. The Venturestar Scandinavia. The Scandinavia is updated as to the fall of the Colonies and what Vehlah'Ra is attempting. Unable to turn their backs on their fellow man, the Scandinavia, though not a vessel of war, lends aid as best she can allowing for several ships to pass into the corridor without being targeted by either the Rahspith, the Cylons or the troops the Chrysalis Avren has placed along the border to carry out Vehirk's order of complete sterilization of the last vestigages of the Kobollian race. (While it is Iblis/Diabolis who wishes the complete eradication of the Kobollian species, both Avren and Diabolis' actions fall under the clone Non Vehrik's mandates)

At the border it is discovered Avren is aboard the Gemon Princess, formerly a vessel belonging to Alerick's mentor and friend, Solomon, an old gunrunner. The Gemon Princess, having fallen into Avren's hands had been modified in Tarkkos (we mortals can consider this the true Hell) with new technology that makes her a very dangerous vessel to be sure. A trap had been set up by Avren to lure AFP ships to false transponder coordinates whereupon vessels hiding in the dust clouds nearby would swoop in for the kill. Unfortunately, the Harbinger picks up on the Gemon Princess' transponder instead and Alerick, believing it's Solomon, makes toward it.

Avren is amused to find Alerick at Harbinger's helm and springs the trap on his own brother hoping to end the ongoing hate Avren harbors for his snot-nosed little brother. The Princess' weapons disable the Harbinger leaving Alerick and his crew, not to mention an entire ship load of innocent civilians, at Avren's apparent mercy. The Chrysalis orders the surrender of the Harbinger and gives his crew orders to kill everyone aboard the vessel, everyone except Alerick unless the worm decides to fight back. Then they could kill him. An old witch's warning being the only thing to stay Avren's murderous hand here.

Alerick turns the tide on Avren by utilizing a back door retrieval system Solomon had installed on the Princess. Powerless now to stop Alerick, Avren uses his one trump card. The Seraph Cerina. On board the Gemon Princess Avren has the unconscious form of the Seraph Cerina who Vehrik had requested he take to Aremis, a mortal spice mine and prison. She had sacrificed herself to gain her sister's freedom and to hopefully buy the Colonies some much needed time to see the trap under foot. However dogged her intentions were, she and Vehrik ended up at each other's throats and the clone Non, tired of it's concubine's little revolts, wanted her sequestered away for it's own sanity.

While Alerick and Avren are arguing out the details of who was surrending to who, Baidge is picking up the conversation in his patrol vessel which he promptly disseminates to Vehlah'Ra's Triad, or High Command. That is when the Vehlah'Rans learn of the inside trading that had been going on within the Colonies and that Avren had been more responsible for the destruction than anyone could have imagined. The standoff between Avren and Alerick continues until Alerick gains the upper hand by shutting down the Princess' power cells nullifying her and rendering Avren impotent to carry out his threat of a strike.

Avren, not willing to test Alerick's new resolve, agrees to vacate the Princess leaving Cerina behind as well as a little tiny elven woman in a jar. He leaves with his team in a shuttle that is immediately placed in tow by Baidge's patrol vessel. During the transport of the Chrysalis from neutral space into Vehlah'Ran space, the battle carrier Titan goes down in a blazing ball of fire and power as it takes with it a Rahspithian sphere. Debris is flung deep into space and Avren's shuttle is hit. All on board the shuttle are killed but Avren survives locked within the shuttle's cockpit.

Forced to make an emergency landing, Baidge takes the shuttle to the nearest relief site that being the Colonial frigate Scandinavia. Once aboard the Venturestar, Baidge attempts to take control of the prisoner but is denied by the security chief, Kalen. Unable to avoid the red tape with regard to Avren's extradition, Baidge is forced to leave the Chrysalis in Colonial hands but before returning home, he and his team enter into a firefight with a group of hostiles who board during this time. The invading force, Baidge discovers, is AFP in origin - or so it would appear to the untrained eye. The uniforms were fake but why? This plot is still unfolding as well so we'll discover the answers together. Baidge eventually returns to base and levels his report for command while a shuttle bearing Avren, the Colonial doctor, Tania, and the security chief, a Caledite going by the name of Kalen, make for space and the apparent sanctuary of a Kartacian vessel, the small group hoping to flee the supposed AFP carnage taking place on Scandinavia.

Baidge as well was the one to notify the other Seraph, Athena, that her twin, Cerina, has been found and she's alive though an immediate intervention would be required to keep it that way. Athena, having taken command of the Vehlah'Ran attack phalanx while they attempted to secure the escape corridor for the surviving Colonial refugees, hears the call but refuses to render any aid until she can secure said route, more lives hanging in the balance and such.

It is at this time the reserve plans the Seraph Cerina had placed into being with her twin come into play. Bryn, Zorlus' oldest Poison, along with Conn, the Poison of Deceit, enter the fray. Bryn, a renegade Poison, is working to bring Vehrik down and reseat the Originator Zorlus and so restore the cosmic balance they have all come to enjoy. Athena requests Bryn's backup since the battle is taking a turn for the worst, with nothing in her possession to stop the Rahspith. Bryn, having betrayed Vehrik centuries ago, brings in his Rahspith legions to deal with the Rahspith Diabolis required to be in place to stop Vehlah'Ran intervention. Last thing Diabolis wanted was to be interrupted and Vehrik was good enough to ensure it was exactly as the youngest Poison wanted.

While Bryn deals with Vehrik's Rahspith, Athena dispatches herself to the Princess and her sister. The battle at the border continues until finally, thanks to Bryn, Diabolis orders a withdrawal of his legions in the area, the Colonies all but gone now. Diabolis levels one warning to Bryn though and that is if the Vehlah'Rans or any others try to intervene in what goes on within the Colonies, he will return and with him he'll have all of Vehrik's Rahspith not to mention the cloned Non's full support for all out war. Okay, so he can boast!

With the battle at the border now over the Vehlah'Rans are left with tallying the numbers and making homes for the displaced Colonists. Among the survivors is Sire Rentoq, Jaquita's father and former Council of the Twelve member. Having escaped the burning homeworlds, he is taken in by Avren's crew on board the vessel Evening Star. The Evening Star is targeted by the Vehlah'Ran intelligence network and during the conflict the ES is destroyed, Rentoq escaping again into Vehlah'Ran custody. With no records of what Sire Rentoq had done in the Colonies, that being his role in destabilizing the Colonial government, the Vehlah'Rans are forced to accept his history at face value. This thread is still ongoing and we'll find out what Rentoq is up to when it's written. Initially Rentoq was working with the Chrysalis Avren but it appears by his later statements that might not be the case.

Back at the border and on board the Princess, Jaquita arrives with Aurora to lend support to Alerick. Athena as well has made it to the Princess by this point. Both the Emerald and Athena dock at the same time and no sooner do they board than does Cerina regain conciousness. Lost within herself, Cerina makes an attempt to kill all of them but Athena, recognizing her sister is about to strike, counteracts the attempt by stunning her outright. It as at this juncture that Alerick seems to snap and, fearful he's failed in protecting his charge again (he, Cerina, Avren, Tania, Kalen, Jaquita and Athena to a degree have back history, ie. Pac.), he turns on Athena, a woman he's never met before until that moment, and shoots her. THREE TIMES!!! Luckily his blaster was on stun as well. Jaquita is left with two downed Seraph and a nut case friend, along with a wounded friend in Aurora.

Armed, Jaquita demands Alerick see to the health of both Seraph. She also makes the decision to keep Aurora away from Alerick until she can determine the situation. Alerick, not fully understanding what he had done, readily agrees with Jaquita and Athena is bandaged up while Cerina is cleaned up and prepared for a neuro-inhibitor to keep her adept traits fully locked down. During Alerick's examination of Cerina, he discovers she had just recently miscarried. Cerina had obviously suffered much at the cloned Non's hand but as to what really happened, no one knows since it hasn't been disclosed...yet.

Back on board the Scandinavia, Avren is prepared for surgery by Dr. Tania and while he's under anaesthesia takes over Alerick's body. With Jaquita, Elfame and the Seraphs locked down, 'Alerick' decided not to risk his good fortune. Avren, having fallen unconcious back on the Scandinavia, uses his newfound down time to infiltrate his brother Alerick's mind to see what he can glean from him. Surprised to find both Seraph, the Elf and Jaquita still all on board, Avren, borrows his brother's body to deliver the entire ship and her passengers back into Vehrik's hands at Tarkkos.

While 'Alerick' is being disgustingly helpful to Vehrik, back at Vehlah'Ra a new set of dignitaries show up in search of the Crowned Prince Stuart, his brother the Prince David and the sister, Princess Mary-Anne, all of whom have kept out of contact with their homeworld of Kartacia. The new arrivals are the dignitaries, Hans von Fernley from Kartacia's neighboring protectorate, the planet Dornia (also called Darnia by the non natives) and the Duchess of Mosely, Alycia, a Kartacian National. They are brought to Vehlah'Ra's surface for talks and it is after these talks, when Hans and Alycia are making their way to the surface docks, that they are abducted by an unknown group using Vehlah'Ran stealth suit technology. Hia'a (mentioned above), being a diplomat shuttle pilot, was forced to take part in the abduction of the visitors while Ishran, who had accompanied the Prince and Duchess to the take off site, was left sedated on the tarmac. Jade, Ishran's aunt and half-sister thanks to Vehrik, had also been accompanying the group and was left alongside Ishran to be discovered by security.

It turns out that suspicions of foul play are proliferating the Vehlah'Ran common thoughtbond at an astounding rate no thanks to Do'ar Seran who brings forth the possibility that Ishran may have had something to do with her daughter Hia'a's abduction. That accusation of course does nothing to explain why two visiting dignitaries were taken as well. The mystery just deepened. Naturally, Ishran being Vehrik's scion doesn't help and the young Regent is forced to issue an ultimatum regardless of what the true reason might be behind the abductions. If Hia'a is not returned and capable of taking part in the adept Challenge for the Andominaen, he will card himself and decline to participate thus leaving the Andominaen open to whoever can take it.

Hia'a, Hans and Alycia are all transported to a huge 'death star- like' ship called the Harrow and Vehlah'Ra is left holding the bag so-to-speak, having to explain as best they can to the Kartacians what had happened to their emissaries. This news is not well received by the Kartacians, the Vehlah'Rans liking the political ramifications and implications even less.

After being questioned by Vehlah'Ran security, Jade returns home to find out she's been called back into active military duty to reclaim the potential Chrysalis, Avren. While going about this recovery, that is when the Kartacians intervene causing Jade to lose the Chrysalis and the doctor caring for him to the mysterious beings who were calling themselves allies. Jade is forced to request a landing aboard the Kartacian vessel whereupon she clarifies her people's position and is granted control over Avren by the Kartacian commanding officer. Tensions had already increased between Vehlah'Ra and Kartacia and no one wanted the situation to degrade.

Having secured the Chrysalis Avren along with the Colonial doctor, Jade begins her trek back to Vehlah'Ra. It is during this time that they are attacked and abducted by forces unknown. GE Jade Torrin, Doctor Tania and the Chrysalis Avren suddenly appear on board the Harrow and just as Jade is ready to kill the Chrysalis, she is transported to a new location, Tania remaining behind with Avren. Locked now in a room, Jade discovers Hans, Alycia and Hia'a. Unknown to Jade and the others is exactly what is going on. Why were they all taken? What's supposed to happen to them? We will learn the answers to these questions as we plod along in the thread. >;-}

Also, unknown to most is that the one who is in control of the Harrow is an ex-Kartacian and Defender (kinda like the Jedi Knights) who goes by the name of Draxx. A self-proclaimed emperor, Draxx does not recognize Kartacia's ruling body in King Angus, Prince Stuart's father. Draxx's desires are still becoming known to us as we play along. What we do learn is that Avren and Draxx have formed an alliance and Kartacia, along with Prince Stuart in especial, seems to be on the chopping block.

So, with Jade, Hans, Alycia and Hia'a all prisoners, Avren and Draxx are free to retire to their temporary quarters aboard the Harrow. Tania, Avren's doctor, was given the room ajoining his. We'll come back to this spot in a bit...

Meanwhile going back in time a bit, on the Princess, Cerina, Athena, Jaquita, Elfame and Aurora's crew were all brought to Tarkkos courtesy of Avren via his brother's body. By this point Avren slowly loses control over Alerick and despite the victory in delivering his gift to his 'father', Vehrik, Avren ultimately loses in that Alerick succeeds in escaping Avren's metaphysical leash with Cerina and Aurora's crew. Athena, Jaquita and Elfame are all left in Tarkkos and to the clone Non's whims.

Cerina, while at Tarkkos and still in the Princess, had been visited by Vehrik who kindly administers to his Seraph. When Alerick blows Tarkkos, Cerina is fully healed but something else has changed in her. Alone on the Princess with Cerina, Alerick makes for Vehlah'Ran space again, hoping the Andomina can fix his friend up. Prior to landing on the Vehlah'Ran flagship, Phoenix Rising, we see a glimpse into Alerick and Cerina's relationship and it's certainly not all it's cracked up to be. Much to Cerina's dismay, and despite her knowledge of what will happen, she gives in to her desires for Alerick in an airlock thus placing him effectively at the top of the Non's hit list. Cerina after all has some convincing to do where her allegience to Vehrik is concerned and she kindly offered up a viable test in Alerick.

Around this time, the Crowned Prince Stuart manages to secure the Seraph Athena only from Tarkkos and brings her back to Vehlah'Ra to heal. In retaliation for this brazen act, the clone Non wipes out one continent on Dornia to strike back at the Kartacians for their interference.

In the Rising's landing bay, forced to disembark the Princess, Cerina and Alerick prepare to turn themselves over to Vehlah'Ran authorities. And that's when all hell breaks lose for the two of them. Cerina intentionally incites tensions forcing Alerick to respond by envisioning a threat to her safetly. Alerick reacts by taking down Baidge and several others. Cerina, backed into a corner herself, is forced to respond alongside Alerick and together they fight their way back aboard the Princess and to freedom.

Alerick is injured and Cerina is forced to hide them in the Veil, a place between the mortal and immortal realm. While there, Cerina stabilizes Alerick and while he's still sedated, she is visited again by Vehrik. This visit results in another pregnancy, this one more dangerous than anyone could ever hope to know. This 'child', if it survives, will provide Vehrik the weapon he needs to destroy existence as it is known.

Cerina is caught between keeping her promise to Alerick and keeping him safe and her duty to the cloned Non who ultimately demands she kill him as proof positive of her allegience to it. As the creature within her grows, her alignment does a major shift until she has given herself entirely over to the Non and it's agenda. However, before that shift completes, she manages to get Alerick to Kholos and away from prying eyes but not before she makes an attempt on his life. With Alerick safe there for the moment, Cerina is free to take care of Vehrik's needs without further involvement from her friend.

The Dark Seraph departs Kholos and heads straight for Avren aboard the Harrow where the two of them have words. Despite the fact they hate each other, it is understood that neither wants Vehrik on their case so they will work together for as long as there's an advantage to it. And topping Cerina's 'to do' list is revenge against the Kartacian responsible for her newest impregnation, that being the Crowned Prince Stuart. Immediately Avren and Cerina's agenda's clash, Avren being tasked with helping to resecure Athena.

Meanwhile the good guys are trying to get their shi-at together. Athena, fully healed and having no idea her sister has set her up with Avren waiting for her at Kholos, heads up the task of finding Cerina, who she knows has gone bad. Time is of the essence since it has been decreed by the Makers (godlings and the scion of Ahl, the Non's opposite) and the Peridaen Keeper that should Cerina and Vehrik's scion reach the age of viability, Cerina was to be killed to prevent it from being born and wiping the universal slate clean. Athena gets together with the Harbinger crew who were all apprehended at the border for various weapons infractions. Given Alerick's hostile acts aboard the Phoenix Rising, all charges have been dropped against the crew in favour of the more serious crime of murder against the Harbinger's captain in relation to the death of TCG Baidge Raylyn who succumbs to his injuries.

And here we are....

The corrupted Cerina is currently insane and crashing toward PC-5 with Jaquita.

Alerick is still on Kholos attempting to formulate a plan with Athena and his crew, all of whom are still at Vehlah'Ra.

Avren is left wounded by Cerina on the Harrow and needs medical attention as well as awaiting arrival at coordinates specified by the Chrysalis.

Draxx and Stuart's actions are still pending...

Athena is still aboard the Rising with the crew of the Harbinger trying to make a team outta them so that they can see to Alerick's quiet apprehension. As well, Athena must get Cerina to Peridonn before the creature within her reaches a viable age. Age of viability can be determined by studying Cerina's feeding patterns. The Dark Seraph feeds by cleaving a sentient life form's energy, or soul, from their casing and absorbing it. She has killed two innocent Vehlah'Rans already and will feed again soon. The more she feeds the stronger the creature within her becomes.

Bryn and Conn are pretty well staying out of it though they are lending aid to varying degrees.

Rentoq is scheduled to be moved from the Life Site Station where the border patrol dropped him to Vehlah'Ra. His missing microchip not having been found yet... though Dead Men Tell No Tales Part III gives you a clue as to who has it. The accusations from Sire Rentoq concerning his missing microchip have put the Vehlah'Rans on the defensive... Conspiracy buffs should enjoy this little twist!

The tensions between Vehlah'Ra and Kartacia have still not been resolved since Prince von Fernley and Alycia have still not been found and it certainly looks like the Vehlah'Rans might have had something to do with it. From the Vehlah'Ran angle though, whose to say the Kartacians aren't guilty?

As for Elfame and Aurora, Deb has been on hiatus for a spell and we'll see eventually what happens to Elfame's quest. The little elf was sent out to find two pieces of magical armour.

And there's really not much else to include since things are still evolving with regard to Kartacia and Vehlah'Ra's role in the looming battle ahead. Guess we'll have to see where the cards fall.

Hope this helps some. If you have any questions with regard to a specific event, email us and we'll do our best to answer you. Just keep in mind, most of this plot is ongoing and some things will not be divulged until a character happens upon the answer.

Whew!!!!!

P.S. Some things to note: telepathic speech is denoted by single quotation marks ( ' ). Thoughtspeech can be heard by other telepaths providing a block has not been placed over the communication. If a character is strong enough telepathically, the block can be scaled and the conversation heard. To determine if your character is strong enough, you'll have to first determine where said character is on the evolutionary model compared to your own. Unless your character is aided by other factors, the probability of reading a higher level creature is remote. If you are unclear, ask someone. Any of us will be glad to help if we can. Lisa is really good at explaining things, she being a teacher and all... Looking back over what I just wrote, heh, maybe I should have left this to her to detail, lol!

There, that's it... really. :D

Rhyme and Reason; A RW Welcome

Hello!

After several discussions with the co-founder of TSC: RW, both Lisa and myself have come to the inevitable conclusion that having a site to keep track of events transpiring in the RW universe is a necessity.

The reasons are obvious and mulitfaceted. Most important of which is to be able to summerize thread events within this play-by-email sim not only for our own members who suffer from poor memory (not to mention any names, Chris and Bruce ;-} Yeah, alright, you can throw my name in this catagory as well, sheesh!) but for any new members that might require the breakdown.

Another reason is to keep abreast of characterizations; the who's who and who's doing what to whom. While our writers' personal lives might be anything but stellar, we have all, nonetheless, created an entire slew of RW characters that would make any soap opera junkie drool with unadulterated pleasure. Oh, and we haven't left out the action/adventure junkie either! Twists and turns galore can be found here for just such an individual; I mean, RW does deal with war on the grandest of scales... and any adventure monger out there can tell you the bigger the war effort the nastier the villian is behind the scenes!

So, with that said, time to rock on...
